We are the UK’s leading providing of mobile surveying and workflow management software solutions. Our software is developed in-house and delivers a secure, robust and innovative way of working for thousands of users today. We’ve been a Sunday Times Tech Track 100 Company for 2 years in a row and we provide a fantastic working environment for our driven and ambitious team. We value our colleagues and their commitment, and invest heavily in career development, training and bringing the right people into the business.
We’re based in state of the art offices in Solihull with excellent motorway links, free parking (including cycle parking) and reasonable proximity to good public transport links.
As part of an ongoing project to provide software solutions to a traditionally paper-based surveying industry, eTech has converted a considerable number of paper-based survey forms into an iPad application. These new electronic surveys need to be rigorously tested before release. The role will involve checking the electronic surveys follow the same path as the paper-based forms, and ensuring the app works intuitively and consistently. You’ll be part of a fast-paced and motivated team and will have the opportunity to make a real contribution from day one.
We’re not looking for qualified software testers (although prior experience may well help). A good grasp of technology and an enquiring mind are essential. Using an iPad should be second nature to you, and you’ll be confident navigating around new apps and features. You should have excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) and be able to produce high quality work demonstrating a keen eye for detail. You’ll be picking up more than just testing work in this role, and a well-rounded candidate who is willing to learn would have a real advantage.
We’ll provide training on the job, but certain skills and experience will certainly get you off to a good start. It’s good if…
Although not essential, if you have an interest in, or experience of, the financial or mortgage lending market, that would give you a real advantage, as would prior software testing experience.
