SMART Stock Condition Survey offer an unrivalled flexibility in terms of the
survey question structure, image capture and generation of electronic floor
plans with the PDA. Photographs of building elements and defects are prompted
at relevant point by the software and captured with the PDAs integrated 3 Megapixel
camera. Detailed floor plans can also be drawn on the PDA to help locate defects or
features such as services and stop cocks.
SMART Stock Condition Survey utilises a dynamic question structuring, with
questions based, where relevant, on previously answered questions. A broad
range of question architecture is available including options to capture
intervals until next inspection, work priority ratings, support work item
identification and costing. The PDA can also carry the full SEDBUK boiler
database for on-site identification of heating systems as well as integrating
a full HHSRS and DDA question set.
A ‘copy’ function is also available which facilitates the importing and amendment
of data from one property to another on the PDA. eTech can also preload existing
asset data onto the handheld to facilitate validation and updating of the property
condition and attributes.
All data captured via SMART Stock Condition Survey
on the PDA is transmitted via the mobile data network
to eTech directly or into the client’s SMART Work
Management system. Condition data is then made
available by eTech in the correct flat file format to
match the property attributes and UPRNs in the
client’s Asset Management System for a seamless
import process. Full integration with a client’s Asset
Management System can also be achieved.
The success of SMART Stock Condition Survey is driven by a number of factors
– we’d say the most important is that the surveyors on the ground love the
software. eTech’s trademark user interface and traffic light system guides
users through the survey and ensures that a complete data set is collected for
every inspection.
