SMART Marketing Particulars operates in conjunction with SMART EPC, SMART Floor
Plans and SMART Work Manager to enable Domestic Energy Assessors (DEAs) to produce
marketing particulars on behalf of estate agents on one visit to a property, via
a handheld PDA.
SMART Marketing Particulars generates a property summary which is ideal for internet
portals, and combined with SMART Floor Plans provides a detailed property description
with information such as room sizes, flooring type, number of radiators, windows etc.
Photos are taken with a digital camera and can be directly transferred to the PDA by
inserting the camera’s SD card into the PDA. SMART Marketing Particulars labels the
photos, which are linked to the property address and are uploaded to eTech’s server
via a public, home or office WiFi connection. SMART Work Manager automatically generates
an email to the agent with thumbnail images; the agent can then download their chosen
high-resolution images directly from eTech’s server by clicking on the thumbnail,
eliminating the need for large email attachments, and speeding up the process of
producing marketing particulars.
In a single visit, the DEA can generate not only the EPC but also the floor plan,
narrative and photographs. The property can be on the market quicker and with
fewer visits, making the process of producing marketing particulars more cost-effective
for the agent and less inconvenient for the vendor. Outsourcing this work enables the
negotiator to focus on their core business of selling houses, which improves productivity,
reduces turnaround time and disruption to the householder, and speeds up the process of
getting the property on the market.
