SMART Floor Plans

DEAs are ideally placed to provide floor plans for Estate Agent's sales particulars. In addition to generating extra income alongside the EPC, floor plans offer a major point of difference amongst EPC providers.

eTech have teamed up with The Mobile Agent to deliver SMART Floor Plan and enable DEAs to generate full floor plans with property descriptions on-site using the SMART EPC handheld PDAs.

Plans are built up room by room on the PDA, measuring and shaping rooms as you go. A full range of building components can be added from pictorial symbols. Features such as multiple floors, irregular shapes and garden plots are all provided for. SMART Floor Plan downloads the plan from the PDA to a Desktop application where further alterations can be made if required.

In addition to generating the floor plan for the Estate Agent’s sales particulars, SMART Floor Plan generates the plan required for the EPC. View both outputs for the same plan:




Features such as Heat Loss Perimeters (HLP), Party Walls, Excluded Rooms and Extensions are marked up by the DEA on the PDA. SMART Floor Plan calculates the HLP and floor areas automatically and transfers this data into the Building Measurement section of SMART EPC on the PDA. The EPC floor plan image is generated by eTech and inserted into the Record of Inspection produced by SMART EPC.

3D Plans

A growing number of Agents are using 3D floor plans. In addition to making websites and brochures look more professional, 3D plans provide a better indication of layout and size of the property than 2D plans. There is no additional cost to upgrade a 2D SMART Floor plan to a 3D plan.

Hotspots

Users also have the ability to add Hotspots to the plan. Once added, a Hotspot enables photos of a room to be linked to the plan. When viewed on a website, you can hover a mouse over the Hotspot to reveal a photograph of the room. There is no additional cost for the use of Hot Spots in your plans.

Completed floor plans can be emailed to your client or accessed by your client on-line. Plans are compatible with existing estate agent back office systems such as Dez Rez, Encore, Vebra, Solex, CFP and CSL.
