SMART EPC is the market leading handheld EPC and site note generation tool. Our
software is used by over 1500 Domestic Energy Assessors (DEAs) and the UK’s top
corporate and social housing EPC providers in conjunction with the leading EPC
Accreditation Schemes. SMART EPC is a combined hardware and software package which
enables DEAs to generate EPCs with a supporting Record of Inspection using the latest
handheld PDA technology.
Uniquely, SMART EPC captures both RdSAP data on site and additional supporting
observations, limitations to inspection and site photos. With the inspection complete,
SMART EPC populates the DEA's Accreditation Scheme report writing software and generates
a comprehensive and consistent electronic Record of Inspection for each EPC. The Record
of Inspection is tailored to the requirements of the DEA’s Accreditation Scheme and
dispenses with the requirement for manual RdSAP forms.
The Record of Inspection includes either includes a photograph of the DEA’s drawn plan
taken with the camera on the PDA or an EPC electronic floor plan created with SMART EPC.
Support in the field
SMART EPC provides support where you need it most - on site. Features on the PDA
include access to the fully updated Boiler Efficiency Database, alerts if an area
of the inspection is omitted and an electronic floor plan facility which automatically
calculates Floor Areas and Heat Loss Perimeters.

SMART EPC is charged at £2 plus VAT per EPC with monthly Direct Debit billing.
